“From Golf to Code and Cloud”

As a PGA of America golf professional with a passion for technology, I have successfully transitioned into a career as a full stack cloud devops engineer. My journey from professional golf to the cloud has equipped me with a unique blend of skills, combining the strategic thinking and discipline honed through years on the golf course with the technical expertise required in the ever-evolving field of cloud computing.

Throughout my golf career, I not only excelled in playing and coaching but also spent a decade teaching golf around the world. This experience allowed me to develop a keen interest in leveraging technology to improve performance and streamline operations. This curiosity led me to pursue formal education and certifications in software development and cloud computing, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Full Stack Developer credentials

Today, as a full stack cloud engineer, I specialize in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable cloud-based applications. My experience spans across various cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure, where I implement best practices in DevOps, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines. I am proficient in multiple programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Java, and have a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end development.

My background in professional sports has instilled in me a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the ability to perform under pressure—qualities that are invaluable in the fast-paced tech industry. I thrive in collaborative environments, bringing a team-oriented approach to every project, and I am committed to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies.

Whether I’m on the course or in the cloud, my goal remains the same: to drive excellence and deliver results. I am excited to bring my diverse experiences and technical skills to new challenges, helping organizations achieve their technological goals and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
